I Exist

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:20

The majority of people who live on earth are not interested in knowing why they exist in a world created by God. For the most part those who are of the world are looking for ways to satisfy their personal pleasure and are seeking a comfortable life. They are not aware of their spiritual nature and the relationship they have to spiritual matters. They are not focused on what life is about, what the purpose is for their life and are not interested in hearing God’s message of salvation. They are deeply involved in a world that drowns and suppresses the gospel message, thinking it to be foolishness they deprive themselves of the knowledge of the abundant life by submitting to their creator. For this reason God made his existence known to all men so they would have no justification for the way they live.

At the same time, God said my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge Hosea 4:6. Because of their arrogance everyone lived as they saw fit - Judges 17:6. In their pride people did not seek the knowledge that would have saved them from the wrath of God. From God’s perspective men lack a reverence for his creator, and by refusing to take part in God plan salvation they establish their own downfall. Although God will not force men to submit to him, men rebel from God without understanding the nature of God and his love for mankind.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

The actuality of creation has been established, God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. Men were created to be eternal beings capable of ruling with Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind. As strange as it may seem men have with their thoughts and the words of their mouth let God know that they will not have Jesus as their king or have the desire to live under his authority.

However whenever our lives are affected by bad things we ask God why did this happen to me. On the other hand only a small percentage of people ask God why he gave mankind the choice for eternal life. It’s not that God is hiding this choice, not everyone wants to know what their purpose in life is to seek the reason for being alive. The scriptures tell us that God has made his divine and eternal existence plain to mankind and for that reason mankind was given the reasoning power to gain insight into God’s plan for mankind.

How then shall we escape God’s wrath if we ignore his plan of salvation? God sent one prophet after another to warn mankind to repent but men did not listen. Men do not consider what the future will bring due to the outcome of your actions and continue to cling to their wicked way of life. However, everyone has to decide, should God reward you on your terms, when you refuse to repent? Job 34:33

How can men comprehend that God created the heavens and the earth without considering that he exists. The majorities of people is aware of his existence but are not aware that everything he created was designed to serve his needs. God is our creator, he is God now, and God will rule over our lives after our human lives are spent.

God is not going to relinquish his title or position to another being. Mankind does not understand that we will be a part of God’s future in the age to come. Have we considered that a man creates tools and learn the right methods to serve his goals. For the same reason God created mankind to serve his goals and purpose? Those who accepted God’s conditions to live will serve God of their free will and those who refused Jesus as Lord will serve him as an example of those who rebel from his authority.

However man has hardened his heart refusing to believe and serve the God that created them. They chose to become the enemy of God by turning away from the wisdom and discipline of God. Without listening or acknowledging God’s reasons for creating mankind man has without giving thought to the sovereignty of God over his creation have chosen to rebel against God.

Not everyone has reasoned that if God created and sustains an environment that men exist in; by the same token God is able to destroy the environment created for man to live in. Within this sustained environment God proposed a choice for mankind to choose life over death. To choose life we choose to obey God and live by his laws and decrees. The failure to choose life would mean men would continue to exist in an environment where the man God created will have no rest struggling to live.

Deuteronomy 8:3 tells us that man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. The bible says in Romans 14:4 to his own master he stands or falls and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God. Ezekiel 11:19-21

The day will come when the choice to live will lie solely in the hands of God. On that day the choice for your eternal life will be determined by the choices you made during your lifetime and whether you took God plan to heart. Making a determined effort to know God and his plan of salvation will explain God’s reasoning for repentance and your need to reach an agreement with God. Luke 13:5 tells us that unless you repent, you too will all perish.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

When all the factors are considered you will find that God will do everything in his power to ensure that you live in a manner that he approves of. He gives his spirit to you as a guarantee of what is to come and adopts you as members of his family giving you citizenship in heaven. We may not understand his plan entirely but the choice to live in agreement with God’s terms is within your grasp.
